I’ve taught A-Level Maths for eight years, both in the classroom and through private tuition. Pure maths is probably my favourite part to teach, particularly calculus and trigonometry. I’m quite methodical in lessons and like students to understand where a method comes from before relying on it. Near exam time, we work through plenty of past papers and look closely at where marks are being lost.

Hi, I’m an A-Level Maths tutor with five years of tutoring experience. I mainly work with Year 12 and 13 students who need some extra help with algebra, calculus, statistics or mechanics. My lessons are fairly relaxed and students are always welcome to stop me when something doesn’t make sense. I usually finish with a few exam questions so we can see whether the topic has actually sunk in.

If an exam question looks intimidating, we’ll pull it apart, work out what it is really asking and then tackle it one piece at a time.

I’m a big believer in doing questions rather than simply watching someone else solve them, so students do plenty of working during lessons. Statistics is a particular favourite of mine, especially hypothesis testing and probability.
